Our GREEN MAN Prince

BBC I Player - watch the show
HRH Prince Charles Lecture on the Environment

OK leaving aside one's views on Britain’s system of constitutional monarchy and political mayhem, being fully aware that this gentleman has not been democratically "elected" it was refreshing to listen to his views. Having been labelled a "crack pot" and more by those who despise his interference within the political arena, he does, in my opinion, have much to say that demands attention

The Prince Of Wales delivered the annual Richard Dimbleby Lecture at St James's Palace, the 33rd lecture held in honour of the veteran broadcaster, who died in 1965.

The heir to the throne, who turned 60 last November, has become well known for identifying key issues ahead of mainstream public thinking, such as encouraging organic food production or emphasising the importance of inter-faith dialogue.

He has created over 20 charities and six social enterprises aimed at topics as diverse as promoting youth opportunity, encouraging corporate social responsibility and protecting the natural environment.

In this keynote lecture he sets out some of the serious challenges which the world now faces and explores how some of these issues could be tackled in the years ahead.

Quote: But for all its achievements, our consumerist society comes at an enormous cost to the Earth and we must face up to the fact that the Earth cannot afford to support it. Just as our banking sector is struggling with its debts – and paradoxically also facing calls for a return to so-called “old-fashioned,” traditional banking – so Nature’s life-support systems are failing to cope with the debts we have built up there too. So, if we don’t face up to this, then Nature, the biggest bank of all, could go bust. And no amount of quantitative easing will revive it.

Sad to say that I saw, not for the first time, a programme shortly after this that highlighted the very issues discussed; the world's bees are disappearing!!!!!!!!

Lets' all stop and think what we are doing to our world before it is too late!

Yet more UFO sightings. What's happening?

Hi
Another of the "growing" incidents of UFO sightings reported! This time courtesy of the Fenland Citizen
REPORTS of strange lights in the skies over Wisbech have sparked interest from across Fenland and even further afield.
In fact one woman from Barnstaple, North Devon, contacted the Citizen after spotting the stories of the 'UFO'sightings on our website: www.fenlandcitizen.co.uk

She was interested in the story where Alison Hunt, of Cherry Road, Wisbech, reported seeing a very bright glowing orange light the size of a 'full moon' over her garden on January 30.

The woman, who didn't want to be named, said her daughter and her husband actually saw two of these objects, which she described as "huge, massive, orange orbs very bright. Both were the size of a full moon."

A MUM was left baffled after she filmed a bright pink orb in the night sky, fuelling the UK's UFO frenzy.
South east London mum Keely, who would only give her first name, took the mysterious footage with her camera phone after seeing the strange lights out of her kitchen window in Anerley.
Keely said: "I've got no answers. I've never seen anything like it."

THE number of UFO sightings soared by 40 per cent last year.
The MoD logged 135 reports – including one of two objects a MILE wide.
Two airline pilots spotted them over Guernsey, giving the sighting credibility.
One, Ray Bowyer, 50, said: “I’m not saying it was from another world, but I’ve never seen anything like it in all my years of flying.”
Nick Pope, who headed the Ministry of Defence’s UFO investigation team from 1991-1994, said: “This sighting is dynamite. The UFO was over a mile long and it was tracked on radar.

Source at U.N. tells of secret UFO meeting February 12, 2008 by Michael Salla, Ph.D.
I received the following email from two trusted colleagues (Clay and Shawn Pickering) regarding a reliable source informing them that a secret meeting occurred yesterday morning (Feb 12) at the New York office of the United Nations concerning the recent spate of UFO sightings. It appears that a number of nation states are concerned about the impact of increased UFO sightings and wish to be briefed about what is happening. Their source, who currently works in the diplomatic corps, had to travel for an early morning off the record meeting at the UN. Their source revealed that a secret UFO working group exists that is authorizing the release of such information to the public, in an effort to acclimate others to what is about to unfold. A date of 2013 was given as the time for official disclosure and/or when extraterrestrials show up in an unambiguous way. In the interim there will be acclimation related releases of information. Importantly, the source revealed that the events leading up to official disclosure will involve more ethically oriented extraterrestrials, and they will not pose a military threat to the world.
