Psychic Ability - Genetic or Not?

Since the last post we have completed quite a number of further investigations. Amongst the guests have been family members who share the "gift" of psychic ability!
The question that I would like to raise is this:
Has anyone researched or stumbled across any documented evidence to suggest that psychic ability may be genetic?
I would be grateful for any points raised on this particular subject as we at Haunting Breaks never cease to be amazed at this phenomena!

hello, i couldnt help but notice you said it was a like a curse or haunting being psychic. maybe my experiences will totally refresh youre ideas that youres is a curse as mine has been taken to the extremity of all known existence wherein i cannot do anything but be supernaturally bound in all that i do. this will reassure you that youre curse or unwanted psychic abilities are much more lesser of severity and will then be able to handle it much better.

i believe that having this gift is not a curse and anyone who has a gift like that should share it with the world.

Dear Anonymous,

My thanks for your words of encouragement.

Everyone has the ability to be psychic. It is simply latent or "asleep" within the majority of people.

Psychic phenomenon is for every human being because it is inherent in our nature. Some have caught on quicker than others.

Thanks for the comment Scott, I totally agree with your statements.
We actually encourage all our guests to take part in "dowsing" exercises before an investigation. This increases right-brained activity and allows individuals to move from the practical to an intuitive mind set.
I actually believe that we are all born with psychic ability.
It is nurture and culture that force us to switch this ability off!
I hope the day comes when we all return to being in tune with our psychic selves!

Hi, I refer to my ability as a psychic, a curse sum times especially wen people taunt my kids about it & because of my gift,I wasn't allowed to see my 1st Grand daughter. There is 'no pain without gain',but, how much pain do we have to endure on a personal level for our great gifts? from 'Worn out'

Dear Anonymous,

Your comment cannot be read without feeling pain and despair!
I understand your experience and am not surprised at your family's reaction.
I believe that many individuals who voice their psychic experiences are also treated as "outcasts"
I can only encourage you to follow your path and to remain strong in your convictions.
I hope that a time will come when all beings are accepted for what they are, not what they appear to be!!

I would like to thank "Dicko" for her posting. I am so glad to read that you have embraced your gift and I believe that that is due largely to the fact that as a family you spoke openly about the issue!
It is a sad fact that a large percentage of the population that have experienced psychic phenomenon, particularly those that experience it on a daily basis, are discouraged to talk about it openly. This of course, ultimately results in confusion and for some, despair!

Why don't you join us on an event? You never know this may be something that you would like to work on?
Look foward to hearing from you
Regards
Elizabet
