This is a documented case of demonic possession and exorcism. The possessed: Anna Eckland. The Exorcist: Father Theophius Riesigner, a Capuchin monk, an experienced exorcist. The place: the convent of the Franciscan Sisters in Earling, Iowa, in Shelby County, north of Harlan in western Iowa. The dates: June 18, 1912, August 18, 1928, September 13 to 20 and December 15 to 23, 1928. The account of the case was published in Begone Satan! by Joseph F. Busch, Roman Catholic Bishop of the Diocese of St. Cloud, Minnesota. Originally, it was published in German by the Reverend Carl Vogl and translated by the Reverend Celestine Kapsner OSB. The author of the book used as a reference is Martin Ebon, a distinguished parapsychologist. He worked with Eileen Garrett one of the most gifted trance mediums of the 1900s and co-founder of the Parapsychology Foundation. The organization was founded in 1951 to support and encourage unbiased scientific study into the psychic aspects of the human mind. He served as the administrative secretary of the organization. For many days, Father Theophius, with the help of the nuns, performed exorcisms. The phenomena are almost beyond belief.

Real-life case of demon possession documented

An American woman who levitated, demonstrated paranormal psychic powers and spoke foreign languages unknown to her was clearly demon possessed, according to a board-certified psychiatrist and associate professor of clinical psychiatry at New York Medical College.

The unnamed woman, with a long history of involvement with Satanic groups, was observed by a team of priests, deacons, several lay assistants, psychiatrists, nuns, some of whom also had medical and psychiatric training, levitating six inches off the ground while objects flew off shelves in the same room, according to Dr. Richard E. Gallagher, who documented the case in the February issue of the New Oxford Review.

"Periodically, in our presence, Julia would go into a trance state of a recurring nature," writes Gallagher. "Mentally troubled individuals often 'dissociate,' but Julia's trances were accompanied by an unusual phenomenon: Out of her mouth would come various threats, taunts and scatological language, phrases like 'Leave her alone, you idiot,' 'She's ours,' 'Leave, you imbecile priest,' or just 'Leave.' The tone of this voice differed markedly from Julia's own, and it varied, sometimes sounding guttural and vaguely masculine, at other points high pitched. Most of her comments during these 'trances,' or at the subsequent exorcisms, displayed a marked contempt for anything religious or sacred."

Richard E. Gallagher, who documented the case in the February issue of the New Oxford Review. states that "Possession is only one and not the most common type of demonic attack. Possession is very rare, though not as exceedingly so as many imagine," he concludes. "So-called 'oppression,' or 'infestation,' is less rare, though hardly frequent either, and sometimes more difficult to discern accurately."

During many haunting breaks events one of our staff members is able to request communication from another realm whilst in a group setting. He requests the spirit or presence to communicate by raising any of the guest’s hands
This invariably happens and in some extreme cases the guest has difficulty in moving their arm in a downwards motion until the unseen presence has allowed that to happen
This Haunting Breaks staff members is not schooled in hypnosis and to begin with found the experience a personal shock!
Is this due to psychological prompting?
Is it due to some form of unintentional hypnosis?
Is it due to auto-suggestion?
Is it proof of communication from another realm?
The study of mesmerism started during the 18th century. Franz Mesmer first developed the concept of “animal magnetism”. Mesmer chose the word "animal" for its root meaning (from Latin animus = "soul"), specifically to identify his force/power as a quality residing in the bodies of the animate beings:(humans and animals). Mesmer chose his term to clearly distinguish his variant of magnetic force from those which were referred to, at that time, as mineral magnetism, cosmic magnetism and planetary magnetisms.
The term's most common usage today is to refer to a person's sexual attractiveness or raw charisma.
Of course we have all heard of Sigmund Freud who during the late 19th and early 20th century drew our attention to the study of psychology. Psychologists attempt to explain the mind and brain in the context of real life, in contrast to the physiological approach used by neurologists. Psychologists study such phenomena as perception, cognition, emotion, personality, behavior, and interpersonal relationships. Psychology also refers to the application of such knowledge to various spheres of human activity, including issues related to daily life—e.g. family, education, and work—and the treatment of mental health problems.
In addition to dissecting the brain's implementation of elementary mental functions, psychology also attempts to understand the role these functions play in social behavior and in social dynamics, while incorporating the underlying physiological and neurological processes into its conceptions of mental functioning. Psychology includes many sub-fields of study and application concerned with such areas as human development, sports, health, industry, media, law, and transpersonal psychology.
From the Theosophical standpoint so-called modern 'psychologists' are not genuine psychologists at all; because true psychology means the science of the entire intermediate and invisible constitution of man, popularly called the soul, Modern psychology is really a kind of psychological physiology, and modern psychologists are simply physiologists studying human consciousness from a more or less purely physiological standpoint, and therefore cutting off ninety percent or more of the entire range of human consciousness. : Studies in Occult Philosophy by G. de Purucker
Last but not least I would like to mention the parapsychologists who together with all the above are able to approach the questions that I have raised and offer a plausible answer or answers?
In particular I choose to mention the well-known parapsychologist Dr Susan Blackmore who have been interested in for some time now, essentially because of her apparent drive to prove the existence of PSI( or maybe that's the non-existence of PSI)

What do I think about this apparent form of communication?
I believe that in some circumstances that this is real evidence of a paranormal communication form. Obviously one has to rule out all the obvious scientific explanations before claiming this but SEEING IS BELIEVING!
