Hi
My personal out of body experiences has led me to question both the scientific and alternative theories put forward
There are many to research obviously & my journey so far has led me to believe that an OBE is a connection with the parallel universe or the "multiverse"
Einstein's theory of relativity gave us a platform to explore other concepts concerning the fabric of the universe & Science is EXPLORING all & everything
Check out The Elegant Universe for compelling viewing
I believe that certain individuals are able to spontaneously or at will connect with the multiverse and "travel" back or forward in time & space.
Fact: I have travelled to places and reported on my findings to check out the facts. e.g. a friend of mind journeyed to America. I "visited" by "astral travelling" and described the hotel room he stayed in, what he was wearing and doing at a particular time - all checked out OK!
Fact: I can, at will travel using this method
Fact: I have actually spontaneously travelled too but cannot explain why these episodes have manifested themselves
Interestingly I have also experienced a "near death obe" too! so that has led me to consider whether one experiences the whole list of possible obes or none at all?
Those who meditate will understand the concept of "Astral projection" and although this term has been called a pseudoscience by Carl Sagan and crackpot science by James Randi, those who have experienced this will strongly disagree.
I state this claim also based on evidence concerning my "useless" ability to be able to enter a building or location and see the fabric of the building or land as it was many years before, in some instances centuries before! This ability is uncanny as I have no sense of direction whatsoever and get lost outside the supermarket looking for my car! Perhaps this is natures way of having laugh!!
Anyone else experienced something similar?
Love to hear your thoughts on this one!

Meditation for DUMMIES
"The greatest discovery of the 19th century was not in the realm of the physical sciences, but the power of the subconscious mind touched by faith. Any individual can tap into an eternal reservoir of power that will enable them to overcome any problem that may arise. All weaknesses can be overcome, bodily healing, financial independence, spiritual awakening, prosperity beyond your wildest dreams. This is the superstructure of happiness."
~ William James, Harvard Psychologist, the Father of American Psychology
What would it be like to go around the rest of your life without your sense of sight, touch or hearing? What are these senses worth to you. They’re Priceless. Yet many people see it as absolutely normal to go through life without ever using their sense of intuition and their mind’s ability to create favourable coincidences to push them towards their goals.
Want to rid yourself of anxiety, stress, depression, frustration and all other negative thought processes? Read on............3 easy steps to begin your positive life journey!
Rule 1 of Meditation club: Sit, stand or lie comfortably anywhere that's good for you on your own
Rule 2 of Meditation club: Play music that does it for you (this is really important- it's crucial that you use your intuition for this)
Suggested sounds: Sheila Chandra
Jocelyn Montgomery
Rule 3 of Meditation club: Empty your head of all thoughts ( takes time - a lot of time so practice makes perfect!!) Try this for a minute or so to start with and then go about your daily routine. Build the period of time up gently so that you aim for about 5 minutes in total.
That's it - once you achieve this you've made it to first base!
Will post the next steps later

Coping with The RAT RACE

Hi
For years I have dedicated my thoughts to our social environment and why we live the lives we lead
It appears today more than ever that we have lost personal control to the systemic machine that monitors and commands our every move.
Just like W.H.Davies I ask "What is this life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare..........."
The Western Global state of the 21st century find us all unwittingly or otherwise, tangled in a web of Global actions that have dire consequences, not least of all, social deprivation,
Townsend used the term “deprivation” to describe the cause of poverty.
“People are relatively deprived if they cannot obtain, at all or sufficiently, the condition of life – that is, the diets, amenities, standards and services – which allow them to play the roles, participate in the relationships and follow the customary behaviour which is expected of them by virtue of their membership of society. If they lack or are denied resources to obtain access to these conditions of life and so fulfil membership of society, they may be said to be in poverty.”
It is concerned with circumstance, particularly material, and how this impacts upon the condition of people’s lives.
There is no denying this statement within the context of material possessions. I use the term “deprivation” to also include the lack of spiritual, psychic sustenance that our whole being requires to be at one with life
Before we can feed our soul and allow contentment to surface, we need to step away from the rat-race
As fate would have it I happened upon a daily telegraph article recently discussing the current institutional recognition of performance art
Immediately recognised the similarities between this performance art and a haunting break!
Whilst Marina Abramovic, the godmother of performance art relies on meditative exercises to cleanse away the shackles of modern life, we offer dowsing and other right - brained activities to realise the same goal
Alistair Sooke reflects on the experience, “it was like undergoing years of therapy in a single afternoon” “ everyone was invited to stare for five never-ending minutes into the eyes of a stranger, an incredibly intimate act”
If you feel that your pace of life is “out of control” and can’t make the Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester, www.mif.co.uk then join one of our breaks
Our events offer much more than a simple break from routine. They can be dramatic, can be fun, but definitely will be unforgettable. Have a look now for what's on offer or get in touch to order your private event, specifically designed and carefully crafted just for you
Follow the celebrities who chose Bolebroke Castle for their special event or choose from our huge portfolio of haunted properties

Meditation
Hi
In the final series of BBC TWO's recently aired programme, Alternative Therapies, professor Kathy Sykes explores MEDITATION
I personally found the complete series interesting but also rather frustrating. I guess that's due to the basic structure of this series being based on a scientific approach to alternative therapies!
Why watch it you may ask? purely to establish whether the general scientific approach to this subject has changed now we have entered the 21st century
I understand the problems conveying any viewpoint, in particular the problems concerned with filming and editing so my comments are made from being aware of the usual constraints imposed on any programme maker, i.e. entertainment value etc. etc.
What I am amazed at is the lack of sound premises used by any scientific professional. Apparantly if any subject is to be studied by a scientist then they have to develop controlled tests, measure the outcome and then produce numerous papers on the results. Scientifically accurate premises I imagine but oh so STUPID!
I am questioning the general methods used today in the 21st century. During Ms Sykes travels in the pursuit of knowledge she met Buddhists monks who practice meditation, met doctors who use this alternative method of relaxation in their treatment programmes, and by the way have measured the results!! and met a community who base their complete lifestyle on Transcendental Meditation. She was actually personally involved in one experiment that measured her physical reaction to a period of meditation and the results were that the meditation period had extreme positive effects on her physical being
Move forward to the summation of the programme and she still has doubts about the whole practice and process involved because she could not find enough written reports to support what she had experienced first hand- come on Kathy - WAKE UP!
If all scientists are as completely closed off as Kathy then no wonder science has not caught up with the millions of human beings who have being practicing alternative therapies of one kind or another since time began. The only method of "testing" that these individuals have used is by THE RESULTS
If alternative practices work then why question them? I realise we are not now living in the "dark ages" and we are all conditioned to live in a perpetual state of extreme gratitude for the "enlightenment period" but why waste precious time and money critically analising systems when we have the choice to use them or not
I imagine the scientific community sleep well at night having duped themselves and the masses into believing that prescription drugs are completely safe and acceptable and of course I'd be a complete idiot to believe that this rigorous system of testing is not required
All I'm saying is that there have been many drugs over time that have been labelled as safe that have later been labelled as dangerous. What one can say about alternative therapies is that they cannot be dangerous!
