Holistic Healing Goes Green?

The adage “prevention is better than cure” holds true in everyone’s life. In Germany, practitioners called “preventologists” specialize in preventing immediate future occurrence of diseases by using mind, body approaches, and holistic nutrition. While the saying is often quoted, peoples’ consciousness especially among Filipinos are not wont to adhere. Holistic medicine purports the use of preventological healthcare in its pursuance of goal. But through holisticphilippines.com, it is envisioned to educate the public in every facet of life, and integrate it in life’s health education.
HolisticPhilippines.Com will be launched on April 24, 1 to 4 p.m. at The Peninsula of Manila.
The greening of people’s minds is basically a dramatic change of consciousness to opt for natural health care, nature cure therapy or as natural practitioners call it “naturopathy,” and natural food supplementation (nutriceuticals).

Healing arts and practices “folkloric arts” such as “hilot” now becomes integral part of the Filipino healthcare delivery system. Coupled by this is the “pausok” now scientifised into aromatherapy using essential oils, such as the world renowned virgin coconut oil. Activated charcoal bath started in 1800’s by Ellen White is now in vogue in some wellness centres.
